Baby loves.....camping and festivals
camping amongst the bluebells in May
So we're gearing up for the summer festival season....
we've booked tickets for 10-12 August's Wilderness. Last year was a hoot, even with a 1.5 year old in tow. Looking forward to the interesting talks, banquet feasts and wild swimming (will definitely book the boutique babysitting this time).

I heard good things about Boomtown Festival (9-12 Aug) just prior, and its also family friendly.

Other pals are going to No Direction Home, 8-10 June, a new festival by End of the Road people. The music lineup looks good.

Other than that I'm hoping to do some 'cool' camping over the weekends - there are so many options.... we went to Kent's Forgewood last summer during bluebell season. there's a great cafe and farm shop too for cooking over an open fire.

Baby loves....Wednesday mornings at the farm
peppermint
Starting a new playgroup/kitchen garden allotment at the Spitalfields City Farm with Lottie Child on Wednesday mornings. ...all welcome to come along with their kids - the more the merrier!
We cleared some nettles & I took home the sprouting tops to make a nice springtime Nettle & sweet potato soup. It was super tasty. Here's a similar receipe.
We're parents of young children inviting people to come and join us on Wednesday mornings at Spitalfields City Farm when we'll be enjoying the farm with our children. it's such an inspiring place, It's small and run by people who really care about community and nature.
It has a tree house in a plum tree that is festooned with blossom in the spring, a living willow yurt where people can sit together. Lots of animals large and small and occasional animal handling sessions come and join us for a tea made with herbs grown on the farm and maybe grow some herbs yourself.
We expect to do craft activities sometimes it would be great if you have an idea and would like to lead us in making something together.
It's so good for children to spend time outdoors, even really small ones.

Baby loves...vintage kilo sale
the vintage kilo sale at york hall is back already! ... I unearthed some real springtime treasures at the last one.
Borrowing on a concept of old, the Kilo is pretty straight forward; shop 70+ rails of pic n mix vintage and pay only based on weight. At £15 per kilo [often bagging 4 - 5 items for £15!] the possibilities are unreal!
The VIntage Kilo Sale

Baby loves...That Place On The Corner
Quite keen to check out this place in Stoke Newington. I can't believe I never really go there...isn't it meant to be a kid/parent haven? I'm so lazy...
Anyways, my friend Jess tells me there's a nice little dress up corner and arts and crafts for the kids while having a bit of cake and coffee.
And I like the sound of the kids disco last Saturday of the month...
