Baby loves...Bangladeshi muslin

Ahh - this painstakingly hand-sewn dress is the culmination of long term project to highlight the fine muslin produced in Bangladesh, imported and made into dresses for fashionable ladies in 17th century London. Although the materials were funded by Stepney Council, all participants/volunteers were unpaid. Anjum, Rehana and I (the Heba Women's Project Collective!) chose a lovely dress in the Museum of London collections to recreate. The garment, donated by Catherine Lucy, relative of female adventuress/eccentric Lady Hester Stanhope, has a lovely serpentine trim and polka dot fabric. Very striking methinks! All the Heritage project recreations are due to be exhibited Fall 2013 at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. http://www.heba.org.uk

Baby loves....free co-working space

I've only recently discovered this amazing free co-working space in the Rochelle School, just next to the canteen. Free tea, coffee and even coconut water in a lovely artistic environment! My kind of place... Open weekdays 9.30am-5pm Club Row, Arnold Circus, London, E2 7ES http://modernjago.co.uk/co-working/

Baby loves.....Guinea Truckle, Cornwall

Cornwall-based friend Rebecca, design author/journalist/editor of the lovely futurustic is now letting her place for short-term holidays. I can't recommend it highly enough. Unmissable local highlights: sea swimming on Sandymouth beach, fresh fish from Widemouth Bay, the pub in Welcombe and exploring the Hartland peninsula. Don't forget to have an ice cream at National Trust's Duckpool Beach. www.guineatruckle.co.uk

Baby loves.....Indian head massage

I decided to learn the art of Indian head massage at the College of Naturopathic Medicine. The intensive, short course taught by complimentary therapist Howard Carter was really lovely. I had a busy February/March, with no shortage of willing guinea pigs happy to be practised on - including my toddler. Everyone's a winner! For a heavenly indian head massage Walthamstow-based Howard can do home visits (howardcarter46@hotmail.com). Next up, reflexology at Morley College in April!

Baby loves....Scilly Isles daffodils

Now that the daffodils are out, we're fondly recalling last year's Easter trip to the Scilly Isles. Our favourite island without a doubt - St Agnes. This time of year the 'narcissus fairies' are in full bloom...

Baby loves....yoga retreats

Aside from the aforementioned Trill Farm - these yoga retreats at Tilton House just down the road from Charleston sound just the ticket. www.tiltonhouse.co.uk

Baby loves .. summer festivals

Can't wait for this year's haul. The Trill Summer Festival looks good as does this Kundalini yoga festival. www.kundaliniyogafestival.org.uk http://trillsummerfestival.co.uk

Baby loves...Columbia Road Market Nursery School

After a few years at Weavers Community Nursery and the lovely Heba creche, I couldn't think of a better place for little one than Columbia Road Market Nursery School. We were lucky to be offered a place and have been settling into the new routine over the past weeks. Last Sunday went to the flower market on Mother's Day and treated ourselves to masses of cut flowers. Spring has sprung....goodbye nursery, hello playschool! www.columbiamarket.towerhamlets.sch.uk

Baby loves...spring cleaning
