Baby loves...Bangladeshi muslin

Ahh - this painstakingly hand-sewn dress is the culmination of long term project to highlight the fine muslin produced in Bangladesh, imported and made into dresses for fashionable ladies in 17th century London. Although the materials were funded by Stepney Council, all participants/volunteers were unpaid. Anjum, Rehana and I (the Heba Women's Project Collective!) chose a lovely dress in the Museum of London collections to recreate. The garment, donated by Catherine Lucy, relative of female adventuress/eccentric Lady Hester Stanhope, has a lovely serpentine trim and polka dot fabric. Very striking methinks! All the Heritage project recreations are due to be exhibited Fall 2013 at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.

Baby co-working space

I've only recently discovered this amazing free co-working space in the Rochelle School, just next to the canteen. Free tea, coffee and even coconut water in a lovely artistic environment! My kind of place... Open weekdays 9.30am-5pm Club Row, Arnold Circus, London, E2 7ES

Baby loves.....Guinea Truckle, Cornwall

Cornwall-based friend Rebecca, design author/journalist/editor of the lovely futurustic is now letting her place for short-term holidays. I can't recommend it highly enough. Unmissable local highlights: sea swimming on Sandymouth beach, fresh fish from Widemouth Bay, the pub in Welcombe and exploring the Hartland peninsula. Don't forget to have an ice cream at National Trust's Duckpool Beach.
